Payment: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Surgical Technologist to join us on an as-needed, contract basis. In this flexible role, you will provide essential support in the operating room during peak times, staff shortages, or special projects.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, allowing you to maintain a flexible schedule while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating needs.
  • Ensure that all surgical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and functioning before procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the sterile environment throughout the surgery.
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping for surgery.
  • Handle specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Accurately document procedures, equipment used, and any incidents during surgery.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required.

Skills: Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Licensure: Must hold a valid state license or certification to practice as a Surgical Technologist.
